Valve's Steam Deck wants to avoid JoyCon drift on Switch

With all the lawsuits, official investigations, home repairs, and fan complaints, it is safe to say that controller joystick drift, especially on the Nintendo Switch JoyCon controller, has been a hot topic in the gaming industry in recent years.

Products from different manufacturers may drift (yes, even your stylish new PS5 DualSense may be in trouble), so with the launch of Valve’s upcoming Steam Deck, the conversation has restarted, and some people think that the system is Switch One of the closest competitors to the future.

To assure potential customers that there will be no problems with drifting on the Steam Deck, Valve's hardware engineer Yazan Aldehayat and designer John Ikeda discussed the system design process with IGN.

When asked about joystick drift, Aldehayat said: "We have done a lot of reliability tests in all aspects, including all inputs, various environmental factors, etc.. I think it will be very effective.

I think people will feel about it. Very satisfied. I think it will be a good purchase. I mean, of course, everything will be parts. It will fail at some point, but we think people will be very happy and happy about it.

Keda mentions The team does not want to take any "risk." The part you choose:"We consciously chose our understanding of performance, didn't we? We don't want to take risks, do we? I believe our customers don't want us to take risks.

The problem that plagues JoyCon Switch. The controller that makes Nintendo headaches; the company faces a problem. Stake litigation, apologize and urge European consumer organizations to investigate and resolve the problem. Unsurprisingly, Valve hopes to avoid similar nightmares with their new technology.
