Elon Musk's Brain Computers raised $205 million from Google Ventures and other companies

Elon Musk's Neuralink has raised $205 million from investors including Google Ventures, Peter Thiels Founders Fund, and OpenAI CEO Sam Altman. According to data from Crunchbase, a startup tracking system, after more than $51 million in financing by Neuralink, the company's total investment is $363 million.

Founded in 2016, Neuralink is committed to developing powerful brain implants that can communicate with mobile phones and computers. Devices used by people with quadriplegia, they are unable to interact with many modern devices and are being tested on people.

He wrote: "The original intention of this device is to help paralyzed people regain digital freedom by allowing users to naturally interact with computers or mobile phones with high bandwidth." Tested on monkeys playing table tennis.

The company stated that its first product, N1 Link, will be "fully invisible" after implantation and will transmit data wirelessly. Musk is the CEO of Neuralink and Tesla and SpaceX. He previously called Neuralink Fitbit.

In your skull, tiny wires enter your brain. "This round of financing will be used to bring the first Neuralink product to the market and accelerate the research and development of future products," Neuralink said. Its mission is "to develop brain-computer interfaces for the treatment of various brain diseases.

The ultimate goal is to create a complete brain interface that can more closely link biology and artificial intelligence." Artificial intelligence will only become more and more. Smart, Musk has previously said that Neuralink technology will one day make people "walk".

He said in a discussion at the club in February that, in fact, because of the existence of phones, computers and other applications, people are already "cyborgs" because they have a third "digital level." "Through a direct neural interface, we can increase the bandwidth between the cerebral cortex and the digital third layer by many orders of magnitude," Musk said. "I would say at least 1,000, maybe 10,000 or more.

The cerebral cortex is a part of the brain that plays a key role in memory, attention, perception, thinking, language, and consciousness. The digital airplane you are talking about can be anything, from a person’s iPhone to their Twitter account.

Musk believes that in the long run, Neuralink can enable humans to send concepts to each other through telepathy, and exist in a "preserved state" after death, which can then be placed on robots or other people. He realized that he was breaking into the realm of science fiction.
